GALA EVENT CELEBRATES OFF / RUTHVEN / KANE COLLABORATION

Gala celebrating the Ruthven/Off/Kane’s Collaboration of “Audubon’s Flat Boat took place in Cincinnati in December 2014.

A gala party was held in Cincinnati on December 4th to celebrate the collaboration of roombox artist Robert Off, wildlife artist, John A. Ruthven and Wildlife sculpture, Beth Freeman Kane.

The  work represented the interior of John Audubon’s flat boat which he took from Cincinnati to New Orleans in 1820 during which he did most of the preliminary work for his famous “Birds of America” folio. Click Here to View the Flat Boat Book PDF.

The gala was well attended and the work sold almost immediately and will become part of the world renound Kaye Savage Browning Collection at the Kentucky Gateway Center and Museum in Maysville Kentucky. The work was accompanied with a companion publication about the collaborative process and Audubon’s work. A total of 5 books were reproduced and were bound in similar style to the original “Birds of America” For more information on John A.
